Mrs. Bernidena Ewers Lohman Bernidena Ewers was born at Dreiwald, Krist-Huxten, Westphalia, Germany, in 1854. She came to America at the age of thirteen, and lived near Evansville. In 1874, she married Henry Lohman, now dead, at Madison. To them were born four children: Mary, who died September 30, 1900; Lizzie, now Mrs. John Tague, of Waveland; Dena, now Mrs. T. A. Sutton of Russellville; and George Lohman of Waveland. She came to Waveland in 1898. A brother, Father John Ew­ers, died last December at Haubstadt, near Evansville; and a sister, Sister Barbara, lives in Vincennes. Mrs. Lohman was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She was a woman of excellent character, respected by all who knew her, and an affectionate mother to the children who mourn her loss. Her health began to fail about a year ago. She died Friday, September 24, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Tague. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church on Saturday afternoon by Rev. E. E. Moorman, of Indianapolis. Interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Waveland Independent Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana Oct. 1, 1909 J. O. Rosebaum has been qualified as executor of the will of Mrs. Bernidena Lohman. She gives her Bible to Mrs. John Tague; her sewing machine to Mrs. T. A. Sutton; her gold watch, ring and trunk to George Lohman; the other personal property to be divided as provided by statute. Not to exceed $50 is to be expended for a monument. - kbz
